Community Partners & Friends
At Ride Mount Mahony, we know a strong riding scene is built on support. That’s why we partner with local businesses and organizations that give back to our community.
QRCA
The qathet Regional Cycling Association (QRCA) is the driving force behind cycling advocacy, trail development, and community engagement in qathet. As the hub for cycling initiatives in the region, the QRCA works to maintain, protect, and expand our trail network while encouraging more people to get out, ride, and enjoy the sport safely.
The QRCA has been instrumental in developing Mount Mahony, spearheading key improvements such as a new climb trail, parking lot, outhouses, trail kiosks and securing funding for future expansion.
Thanks to their efforts, Powell River is transitioning from a hidden gem to a legitimate riding destination. Through volunteer work, fundraising, and community initiatives, the QRCA helps keep the local MTB scene strong, sustainable, and accessible for all.
Sunshine Coast Shuttle
We’ve partnered with Sunshine Coast Shuttle to bring the first all-season MTB shuttle to Mount Mahony. With years of experience transporting hikers along the Sunshine Coast Trail, their top-tier service and commitment to the local outdoor scene made them the perfect fit for this venture.
Together, we’ve outfitted a 4x4, 7-passenger Suburban equipped with a custom 7-bike VelociRAX, ready to handle Mahony’s rugged terrain so you can shred more and climb less.
Mahony Mobsters
The Mahony Mobsters are one of the core volunteer trail-building groups behind Mount Mahony’s evolving network, responsible for crafting some of Powell River’s most iconic freeride features. Their work has attracted riders from around the world and helped put Mahony on the map as a must-ride destination.
These builders are the backbone of Mahony’s freeride scene, dedicating their time, energy, and creativity to pushing boundaries and shaping the future of the scene in Powell River.
Supercharger Pizza
Supercharger Pizza is the local go-to after a day on the trails, serving up handmade pizzas, wings, and farm-fresh salads in a laid-back ‘80s-style pizzeria. It’s where riders gather to eat, recharge, and plan the next lap.
With street parking right out front, you can keep an eye on your bike while you kick back and refuel. Supercharger is more than just great food—it’s a core part of the local riding scene, hosting events like Red Bull Rampage viewing parties and fueling trail builders with pizza during dig days. The owners are true supporters of Powell River’s MTB community, always finding ways to give back and keep the stoke alive.
As a proud partner of Ride Mount Mahony, Supercharger helps fuel riders and strengthen the scene—one slice at a time.
Mahony Bike Co
Mahony Bike Co. is Powell River’s go-to for guided mountain bike experiences and coaching, helping riders of all levels progress, explore, and push their limits on Mount Mahony. Whether you’re looking for a fully guided tour of Mahony’s best lines or expert coaching to dial in your skills, Mahony Bike Co. delivers personalized, progression-based instruction from experienced local riders.
Their knowledge of the mountain ensures you get the best ride possible—tailored to your skill level, riding style, and progression goals.
Ride Free Apparel
Founded by local artist and rider, Ride Free Apparel is a Powell River-based brand specializing in custom mountain bike jerseys that bring creativity and individuality to the trails. More than just apparel, Ride Free is deeply connected to the local riding scene, sponsoring events and supporting the community that makes Powell River’s MTB culture thrive.
